Construction of 300 tons/year stainless steel steelmaking project in Indonesia

According to MCC Eastern News, a group of MCC Eastern successfully completed the Indonesian OBI nickel project 300,000 tons/year stainless steel resource engineering design project of Zhongbailiyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Liqin"), which further expanded MCC Dongfang's industry advantage in the stainless steel field has further enhanced MCC Dongfang's influence in Indonesia and the international market.


It is reported that the Indonesian OBI nickel project is a large-scale nickel smelting project jointly developed and constructed by Liqin Resources under the national "One Belt One Road" initiative and the Indonesian nickel mining company HARITA Group. The project is located in Hamahera, southern North Maluku Province, Indonesia. On the county OBI Island, the current hydrometallurgical project has been successfully put into operation in May 2021, and the pyrometallurgical project will start production in January 2022. The design phase may focus on design research, task design, detailed and general technical services.
